I'm Not Sure Of Home Based Eagles In World Cup - Keshi
Chief Coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi has declared
that he is not sure whether any of the home-based player that won the
bronze medal of the just concluded Africa Nations Championship, CHAN,
can make his squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil in June.
Although four of the players have been pencilled down to be called to camp ahead of the World Cup, Keshi noted that he cannot guarantee that any of them will have a shirt to represent Nigeria at the World Cup where Nigeria had been grouped against Argentina, Iran and Bosnia.
“Though I have in mind of calling four of the players that played at CHAN in South Africa to camp ahead of the World Cup; for any of them to play in the World Cup, it is not my decision but how well they prove themselves”
“It won’t be easy because the competition for World Cup shirts will be tough, only the best is sure of making the final list,” said Keshi when the bronze medal winning Eagles returned from CHAN Sunday night.

Controversial Rivers Police Commissioner, Joseph Mbu To Leave Office This Week- Sahararepoters
Joseph Mbu, who has had a controversial career as
the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, has been removed from his
post, a source at police headquarters in Abuja has informed SaharaReporters.
The source said the commissioner is expected to leave his post at the
end of this week. However, the source added that the police hierarchy
has made no public announcement of Mr. Mbu’s removal.
The
removal of the police commissioner is coming on the heels of threats by
opposition party All Progressives Congress (APC) to block all
legislative proposals  until the political crisis in Rivers State is
resolved.
A
police source told SaharaReporters that, barring any last-minute
changes, Mr. Mbu will be sent to the National Institute for Strategic
Studies (NIPSS) in Kuru, Jos as a face-saving measure.
