FIFA Authorize Veils, Turbans During Matches After Protest

FIFA today has officially authorised the use of head covers for religious reasons during football matches for both male and female. It concluded today after a two-year trial proved that ‘wearing of head covers while playing competitive football posed too great a risk of injury to the head or neck’ as suggested by FIFA officials in 2012, proved not to be true. Iran’s women team protested for not being allowed to wear head scarves and withdrew from an Olympic qualification match against Jordan in 2011 while Canada also asked for the ban of head scarves and turbans to be lifted that same year. The decision was concluded today in Zurich after international Football Association Board members met.

The secretary general of FIFA, Jarome Valcke said: “It was decided that female players can cover their heads to play. Male players can play with head covers too. It will be a basic head cover and the colour should be the same as the team jersey” he said. The change will come into effect from June 1, 2014.

Kcee Is Very Angry With Bloggers For Spreading Rumours That Ebube Nwagbo Has Moved In With Him

Limpopo crooner, Kcee, isn’t a pleasant customer to run into, right now. The singer is as much in a foul mood as a bear with a boil. Ever since the rumour went viral that his old flame, Nollywood actress, Ebube Nwagbo had moved into his Lekki residence, he has been looking forward to having a word with someone and Vanguard's encounter with him on Thursday, according to Vanguard, was anything but friendly.

Vanguard reports that a very vexed Kcee addressed the rumour, saying:
"Personally, I don’t have anything to lose by these rumours. I just feel for Ebube. She keeps crying, telling people that I’m the one spoiling her name, because she believes I’m behind the rumours. But it’s not me, I don’t have to spoil anyone’s name. Her mother even called me, crying, telling me to let her daughter be. They think I’m the one sponsoring all the rumours, but why should I do that? I know someone is behind all this. All these things they say are false, it’s not nice. In fact, I just spoke with my wife, she just left the country last week. She’s not based in Nigeria”.
Kcee maintained he never moved into any home at Chevron Estate, Lekki, with Ebube Nwagbo.
“Now they’ve said Ebube moved into my house at Lekki. But here I am at Omole, thank God you met me here. So it’s not fair, journalists and bloggers should stop destroying people’s images with the kind of stories they write” he thundered angrily.

Should A Lady Be Sent Out Of Church If Her Dress Is Too Short? Read Jumai's Story

So, earlier on today, On-Air TV Personality for MNET Jumai Shaba shared her story on Twitter. And according to her, she was asked out of a church today by an usher cos her dress was too short. Jumai argued that she just saw another lady walk in in a sexier outfit but the usher maintained her grounds.

Jumai believes it's not what you wear to church that matters, she feels like more emphasis should be spent on winning souls as opposed to discouraging people from coming in to worship God. SHOCKER: Ugandian President's Daughter Reveals She Is Gay

Ugandan President, Yoweri ­Museveni has always been at the fore front condemning gays and even criticizing Barrack Obama for supporting gay rights. It was a total shock when the biological daughter of the President came out openly to reveal her sexuality. She claims she is gay and has known this since she was a little girl.

In a startling revelation, the daughter of Ugandan President Yoweri ­Museveni admitted today during a radio talk show in Mbarara, in Western Uganda that she is homosexual, and that she is revealing this fact as a protest to the anti-gay law her father signed only a few days ago.

Diana Kamuntu, Museveni’s daughter said that though she loves her father unconditionally, she does not agree with Uganda’s anti-gay stance, and will fight against it.

“I am gay, I am homosexual. I have known this since I was a little girl. Also, I have been Christian all of my life, so I will not tolerate any law of this supposedly democratic nation, that will place hate on any person just because of what his or her sexual orientation happens to be,” said Kamuntu.

“Now that I finally revealed my sexual orientation, I put myself in front of this new law and I will let our people decide what to do with me,” Kamuntu adds, as her voice breaks down while on air.

The radio host, James Kasirivu noticeably was in shock, and could not seemingly get words out of his mouth.

The live radio broadcast was abruptly shortened and was put off air after a few hours of repeated commercials.

In the latest setback for homosexuals across Africa, the Ugandan President signed a law Monday that imposes tough penalties for homosexual acts, a move that has been condemned from around the world and that may jeopardize Uganda’s relationship with the United States and other Western nations.

As of this writing, neither the radio station nor the office of Ugandan President Yoweri ­Museveni could be reached for comment.
