Shocking: This 15-Year-Old Boy Was Exchanged For Two Bags Of Rice

This is so shocking!!! A 15-year old boy, Seun Aderinwale was successfully exchanged for two bags of rice valued at N20,000 on Monday by a yet-be-identified man.

The incident happened at Igando in Alimosho area of Lagos State.
It was gathered that the man had gone to purchase 2 bags of rice from a shop owned by one Iya Ibrahim but he didn't have money so he proposed to drop Seun, an aluminium apprentice, as collateral and return later to pay. Iya Ibrahim was not available that time so her son Ibrahim who was in the shop agreed to the proposal.

She was surprised to find Seun in her shop when she returned later to learn about the exchange. The 15-year-old boy was held hostage as the unidentified man failed to show up until later in the evening when the pastor of his church, a Celestial Church of Christ around the area, saw him at the shop looking despondent.

He was later freed after the pastor, known simply as Oluso in the neighborhood, settled the matter. He asked the shop owner to take responsibility for one of the stolen bags of rice while Seun’s father, a co-worker with him in the church, should pay for the other bag of rice.

When Seun was questioned on how he met the fraudster, he said he did not know the man’s house or have other information about him as he met him casually at Hotel Bus Stop about 300 metres to his residence where a church member had sent him on an errand to play lotto, popularly known as “Baba Ijebu”.

4 Easy Ways To Keep Your Skin Glowing

1. Stock up on raw veggies and fruits: If you thought the food you ate didn’t have any effect on your skin, think again. Eating fresh, clean, juicy foods enlivens our skin as well. Having a protein and vitamin-rich diet containing fruits and leafy vegetables will help you retain the glow.
2. Use homemade scrubs: Instead of opting for chemical-based beauty products, go for homemade scrubs to moisturize your skin. Prepare a face pack by blending grated cucumber, grated water melon and a few drops of lemon juice. You can also clear out the blemishes on your skin using mashed bananas. Tomatoes are rich in antioxidants that can prevent acne on your skin. Mix three tablespoons of tomato juice with one tablespoon of lemon juice and two tablespoons of milk cream. Apply the paste in circular motion on your skin.
3. Go for cold water rinse: Whenever you wish to rinse your face, use cold water as it seals in the moisture while hot water dries it out.
4. Exercise: Sweating it out can not only have a positive effect on your body but also on your skin. Go for a daily run or jog. Yoga exercises and meditation can also help retain the skin glow as they promote a healthy blood circulation.

How Nigerian Police conspired with vandals to siphon crude oil

ASP Chilla Bulus: Charged with oil theft

A witness in the on-going trial of Dodo Chilla Bulus, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, today February 25, 2014 told Justice E.S Chukwu of the Federal High Court, Abuja how the accused person conspired with vandals to break crude oil pipeline and siphon product.
Bulus is currently being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on a 2-count charge bordering on oil theft and pipeline vandalism.
At the resumed hearing of the case on Tuesday, Lolade Longe, an operative of the EFCC who was led in evidence by Elizabeth Ayodele, counsel to Commission, told the court that the accused person served as informant to vandals who siphoned crude oil from broken pipeline.

“I interrogated the suspect. He told me and admitted in his statement that he was the Commander of the Task Force, Pipeline Vandalism. He said that he received a text message from his boss, ACP Ibadim Friday informing him that vandals are likely to operate along Abaji Road and that he should be at alert.
Instead of following up the message with action, Dodo Bulus forwarded the same message sent to him by his boss to one Joseph Amaechi, a prime suspect in this matter before your Lordship,” Lolade said.
She further disclosed that the accused person received the sum of N1.1m (one million, one hundred thousand naira) from the said Joseph Amaechi as gratification for the service rendered.
It would be recalled that at the last adjourned date, February 18, 2014, the first prosecution witness, Mailafia Yakubu told the court how he led a team of investigators to arrest the vandals and their accomplice, Dodo Chilla Bulus.
Bulus who had been in prison custody since his arraignment on February 18, 2014 was granted bail by Justice Chukwu in the sum of N10m (ten million naira) with two sureties in like sum. The sureties must have landed properties within Abuja Municipal Council and must swear to an affidavit of means.
The sureties must be directors in any federal establishment or Officers not below the rank of an Assistant Commissioner of Police.
The case has been adjourned to March 10, 2014 for continuation of trial.
