Female Reader Blasts Pastor Chris' s Statement

After a reader read Pastor Chris’ opinion about rape and abortion, she decided to share her own story. She said she got married 10 years ago and her husband has not been able to impregnate her, and can’t impregnate any woman either. But she was raped while in school, and even though it was tough she kept the baby. Today the girl is her only child despite she has been married for 10 years. If I had aborted her, I would still be without a child, she said. Her story;

If you want the truth, I was raped while in school by a guy who heard I was a virgin and wanted to prove it. He came to apologize weeks later but that didn't cut it. It still hurts me till tomorrow (psychological scars). I still remember that day everyday like it was yesterday.But one thing I constantly prayed for that time was not to end up pregnant. It would be double tragedy, I said.

Unfortunately, it happened. I got pregnant but did not terminate it because I felt it was a sin. I contemplated it though several times but couldn't go ahead with it because of my bible trained conscience.I even contemplated suicide several times. Thanks to my family though, they stood by me all through. Eventually, I got married ten years ago. Unfortunately, due to some medical jargons the doctor is saying my husband cannot impregnate me or any woman. However, I have my daughter-who is the result of that terrible situation. She's my life. She is innocent and not responsible for how she came into this world. So, why should I have taken it out on her? And I will never stop loving her. Now, if I had terminated the pregnancy, I wouldn't have had any child.

Unfortunately, I have the authority to speak on this because I know what I am talking about. I am not condoning rape in anyway-it’s the worst thing that can happen to anyone. However, why would you want to worsen the situation by committing murder? Abortion, no matter the circumstances is MURDER; pure and simple.

Finally Brymo Is Free, Lagos High Court Lifts Ban

Brymo is free again! A Lagos High court today has lifted the injunction Chocolate City got against Brymo last year. The justice stated this morning that, since the plaintiff (Chocolate City) can be compensated at a later date, the defendant is free to carry out his duties as a singer so that none of the parties will be at a disadvantage. Brymo who was present in court wore a black native dress and was accompanied by his father and girlfriend.  The case has been adjourned till March 19, 2014.

The Contestants:

The primary target of the contest will be Nigerian females between the ages of 18 to 25 years, possessing both beauty and exceptional talent in any field of entertainment provided they possess a GCE O'level certificate and are in good health.


The Contest:

Application form will be available via online registration and hard copy form via the project’s media partners.


Preliminary rounds of the contest will be conducted in four different zones of the country:

Lagos, Enugu, Port Harcourt and Abuja. Nine winners will emerge from three zones while one zone yields ten contestants.


At the grand finale, these thirty seven contestants will represent the thirty six states in the country and the Federal Capital Territory. Seasoned instructors from various fields of the entertainment industry will be invited to serve as mentors to the contestants. For a week, the contestants will hone their skills under the guidance of these mentors in preparation for the grand finale where they will be judged based on their beauty and how well they have developed their talents.

My Wife And I Don' t live together- Chidi Mokeme

Fine man, Nollywood actor, Chidi Mokeme,  and wife, Jean celebrated their love with a beautiful wedding April, 28, 2012. And just like some other Nollywood couples, Chidi and wife live in different countries. In a new chat with Yes! magazine, he explained why they made that choice and how they cope with it.
Excerpts:
You got married years ago, how is married life treating you?
Oh! Very well! Very well!! I mean, it’s an experience that I’m still getting a grasp on and so far, so good.
How come you live in Nigeria and your wife, Jean lives in America? It’s a new marriage and both of you are supposed to be together…
Well, when I met my wife, this was our default setting, let me put it like that. Our default setting was that I live in Nigeria, my wife lives in America and then we started a relationship and decided to take the relationship further and decided we are gonna be man and wife. So, having taken that decision and having crossed that level, the next thing is to find a way to ease into a location. Everybody knows that you don’t just pack your bag and move in one day. There are things that need to be sorted, relocation needs to be sorted. So, we are taking our time with it.
But then again, by virtue of my job, I have a pretty much very flexible timing. I own my time, I decide when to work, when not to work. So, really, I can be with my wife anytime, everytime that I so desire and it makes it easy for us. If I was working a 9-5 and she was working a 9-5, then we will always have to wait for when somebody was on leave. But that’s not the case. I can be on leave the whole year round, if I want, just to be with my wife.
So, when are you people going to start making babies? And building a family…
Well, Azuh, if you are expecting me to tell you a secret now, you are not going to get the secret. But when the secret pops, you will be there (Laughing). When it drops, you will be there.
