FUEL MATTER: Women Join Men To Sit On Train Roofs As Fuel Scarcity Worsens In Lagos

Women yesterday in Lagos threw caution to the wind when some of them took to train roofs when they were no longer available seats in the trains.

Among the women who did this were working class ladies who had to meet up with resumption time at work and market women who were desperate to get to their shops early enough since they were little buses available and the fees were too high.

The Nigerian Railway Corporation’s Taskforce who arrests passengers for sitting on top of train roofs, were stunned when they found women among such passengers. They said they couldn’t take any action because the situation was beyond them.

This is what we have been telling them, you are not above any citizen because you wear a LASTMA uniform. A LASTMA official has bitten more than what he could chew on Wednesday, 5^th of March, 2014 in Pencinema Agege, when he allegedly slapped a chief magistrate. He has been handed over to the police and will soon be charged to court. But how can a man in his right senses slap a woman because you claim she broke the law. How could you? An official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, identified as Taye Shittu, has been arrested by the police at Pen Cinema Police Station for allegedly slapping a Chief Magistrate, Mrs. Komolafe Abimbola of Court 2 Ikeja, Lagos, western Nigeria.

She was on her way to the office around Pen Cinema area of Agege when the incident happened on Wednesday.

P.M.NEWS investigation revealed that Shittu accused Mrs. Abimbola of not obeying the traffic light and ordered her to come out of her car.

She was said to have obeyed Shittu’s instruction after which there was an argument between them. During the argument Shittu was said to have slapped Mrs. Abimbola and she sustained injury on her face.

The victim reported the assault at Pen Cinema Police Station and Shittu was promptly arrested by the police.

While confirming the incident, Lagos State Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Damatus Ozoani, said the accused will be charged to court after the conclusion of police investigation.

A senior official of LASTMA who pleaded for anonymity also told P.M.NEWS that Shittu has been tried internally and was subsequently dismissed from LASTMA  and handed over back to the police for prosecution.

“We have conducted a board room trial for him and he has been dismissed from the service. We have also handed him over back to the police for prosecution. We do not condone such act in LASTMA,’’ said the source.

As a result of the incident, P.M.NEWS learnt that the court Mrs. Abimbola is presiding over could not sit yesterday as litigants had to take adjournment for their cases.

Pregnant Mom Drives Van Filled With Children Into Ocean

A pregnant South Carolina mom drove a van full of her young children into the ocean on Tuesday March 4th hours after she was interrogated by police for behaving strangely and scaring her children.

Lifeguards at the beach rescued the woman, believed to be mentally disturbed, and her three children aged, 3, 9 and 10 from the ocean after they heard the children screaming from the back of the van.

A witness captured video of the harrowing rescue on his phone (which you can find after the cut). Police said when they tried speaking with the woman, whose identity has not been released, she sounded incoherent and kept talking about demons chasing her. She's now undergoing a mental health evaluation while her children are with family members.

20 Boko Haram Members Killed In Brono

Boko Haram gunmen returned late last night to Mafa and Ajiri villages in Borno State to attack the villagers but this time they met their match. Soldiers guarding the villages and neighbouring ones opened fire on the insurgents, killing at least 20 of them. But instead of retreating, eye witnesses said the Boko Haram members came in their hundreds and engaged the military men in a gun battle.

Fortunately the military men overpowered them, killed many of them and seized different calibers of machine guns and improvised explosive devices from them, this is according to the Director of Defence Information, Maj. Gen Chris Olukolade. He said some soldiers, who were from the 7th Division of the Nigerian Army in Maiduguri, were injured in the battle but no soldier was killed.

"Attempts by terrorists to attack Ajiri and Mafa as well as other communities in the outskirt of Maiduguri and Dikwa in Borno State towards the Cameroon borders, yesterday were foiled by the security forces. The ambush mounted by the terrorists to enable them unleash terror on the communities unchallenged, was also cleared by troops on reinforcement mission.

“Arms captured from the terrorists include various brands of machine guns and improvised explosive devices. Twenty insurgents died in the encounter, while our troops sustained varying degree of injuries.  Also, more camps were destroyed yesterday in encounters at various forests and mountain locations around Adamawa and Borno States,” Olukayode said

Spanish border Police on Sunday, found a 19-year-old would-be migrant from Mali squeezed inside a suitcase.
The suitcase was confiscated by the police after they spotted a man, a Moroccan national who resides in Spain struggling to lug a large and oddly-shaped bag at the border between Spain’s north African enclave Melilla and the Moroccan town of Beni Ansar. ‘A Spirit Directed Me To Do It’; Says Man Who Raped His 15-year-Old Daughter in Lagos

A middle aged man in Lagos has been arrested and charged to court after reports that he raped his teenage daughter.

42-year-old Pedro Anegbe is said to have stated that he raped the 15-year-old girl because a spirit asked him to do so in order to get a job.

The accused has been arraigned before a Magistrate court sitting in the Ebute Metta area of the state and is facing charges bordering on forceful sexual intercourse.

The incident is said to have occurred at the family home on Ifelodun Street in the Fatolu Ipaja area of Lagos.

The Investigating Police Officer, Bakare Murtala revealed the results of his investigation to the court.

He said:

“The defendant is the biological father of the girl. She told us her father had sexually harassed her. We questioned him on his daughter’s allegation and he confessed to the crime. He said he had raped her twice.”

Anegbe, while pleading innocent to rape, said he had started hearing the voice after he lost his job and it had told him to damage some things including rape his daughter.

Man With The World’s Largest Penis Gets Harassed At Airport

Jonah Falcon, was stopped and searched by the TSA in San Francisco International Airport, because of a bulky package hidden in his pants.

However, the 41-year-old New Yorker, was not packing a dirty bomb, drugs or a tube of toothpaste from Costco. The New Yorker has the world’s largest penis ever recorded in the world.

In an interview with the news media, Falcon described his difficult time, with additional security guards after his luggage became suspicious.

“I had my ‘stuff’ attached to the left. I was not erect at the time,” said Falcon, whose flaccid penis is 9 inches and 13.5 inches when erect. “One of the guards asked if my pockets were empty and I said, ‘Yes.’”

through one of the X-ray body scanners and passed a metal detector.

“Another guard stopped me and asked if I had some kind of growth,” Falcon said, laughing.
