Sex Worker Arrested In Lagos For Stealing Gold Chain And Hiding It In Her Vagina
P.M.NEWS learnt from police sources at SARS that the woman, identified as Tessy Emovon, 26, allegedly stole the chain from her boyfriend, Cosmas Odijie, 26, last Sunday in a hotel located at Ipodo Market, off Obafemi Awolowo Way, Ikeja, after giving him a sleeping drug.
Investigations revealed that Odijie had earlier given Tessy N3,000, to spend the night with her.
The police claimed that Tessy gave Odijie a drug called Rohypnol when he complained of being tired. She assured him that the drug will boost his energy and sex drive. Rohypnol is a banned drug in the USA. It is in the same class with Ecstasy, ketamine, LSD and ephedrine. The main effect of Rohypnol is to make a person sedated, euphoric, uninhibited. The person may slur his speech and look sleepy.
But he may also encounter one of the less desirable effects : weakness, headache, difficulty breathing, nausea, unconsciousness, confusion, difficulty seeing clearly.
Odijie told the police in his statement that after taking the drug, he slept off and woke up around 3.30a.m. on Monday to discover that his gold chain was missing.
“After regaining consciousness, I discovered that my gold chain was missing and when I challenged Tessy, she denied stealing the chain. This led to argument and I had to inform the manager of the hotel,” he told the police.
The manager reported the incident to the police at Area ‘F’ police division, Ikeja, and Tessy was arrested and detained for two days.
She was arrested again by SARS officers as she was released from detention on the third day following a report by Martins Odijie, 33, elder brother to Cosmas, who told detectives that he actually owned the stolen gold chain.
The SARS officers took her to their office at the headquarters of the Lagos Police Command for further interrogation.
During interrogation, she confessed to the crime, adding that she wrapped the chain in a tissue paper which she inserted in her private part.
She told the police that the chain was still in her private part. Following her revelation, some female police officers from SARS accompanied her to the hotel where she removed the chain from her private part.
A police source confirmed that she would be charged to court soon for stealing.
Senate President Begs ASUU To Suspend Strike
Mark made the plea while commissioning a lecture theatre donated to the School of Management Sciences at the Kano State Polytechnic by Senator Kabiru Gaya.
This is disclosed in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Senate President, Paul Mumeh, in Abuja.
Mark said calling off the strike would salvage the already battered education sector from further deteriorating.
He urged the Federal Government not to use the sledge hammer on ASUU on account of the lingering strike.
“We have reached a situation where hard line positions would worsen the situation. My plea to ASUU is to resume classes while negotiation continues. Senator Mark was surely making reference to the ultimatum given by education minister, Nyesom Wike that academic staff return to the classroom on or before 4 December or be sacked. ASUU on its part has scoffed at the ultimatum.
But as David Mark noted: “The strike has done enough damage to our universities. They have also made their points and I think we should reason together and end this matter once and for all.
“Nobody, including the university teachers can be said to be enjoying this crisis. It is a huge cost on government, parents, the management, staff and students themselves.
“ASUU over the years has enjoyed the sympathy of Nigerians. I am afraid, if they remain adamant on this, they would lose the sympathy and support of the people,” he said.
He reiterated the inevitability of quality and functional education for the survival of any nation, saying that everything needed to be done should not be compromised, to save the education sector.
He thanked the senator for the gesture and appealed to corporate organisations, individuals and groups to emulate the senator and join hands in developing the education sector.
The senate president also commissioned other projects, including solar power water bore holes donated to the Nigeria Army 3 Brigade Command, Bukavu Barracks, Kano State.
Other bore holes commissioned were donated to the Police Command, Bompai, Kano, Nigerian Prisons formation and Kano Golf Club.
Sen. Gaya said the projects were part of his commitment to give back to the society in positive ways and ultimately address the water supply deficiency faced by the people.

'All Catholics Will Go To Hell Because They Worship Satan' - Chris Okotie
All Catholics in the world will go to hell because they worship Satan and are led by an Anti-Christ Pope who is a friend to the devil, Nigeria’s controversial preacher and former presidential candidate, Chris Okotie, told his congregation on Sunday, leaving members bewildered.
Fifty-five year old Okotie, while preaching in his Household of God Church in Ikeja area of Lagos, western Nigeria, said the Catholic church is “a counterfeit church set up by Satan” and that Catholics “bow to idols and crucify Jesus every Sunday when they eat bread claiming they are eating Jesus’ body.”
“They are not Christians and have never been,” Okotie told a stunned congregation.
“They don’t know Jesus. They believe that when they eat bread on Sundays, they are eating the body of Jesus. It’s ritual,” Okotie said.
He said Pope Francis is an Anti-Christ who does the job of the devil and that time is fast approaching when the Catholic church will pledge allegiance to Satan.
“The pope is an Anti-Christ and the Catholic church will soon declare for Satan. This is the end of times,” Okotie erupted
He advised members of his church to come to the rescue of Catholics and evangelise them.
This, he said, was not out of disrespect but out of respect for the word of God.
He said those who know the truth should bring it to those who do not know it in the Catholic Church.
Okotie said one of the Catholic most revered Popes, Pope John Paul 11, surrendered the Catholic Church to Mary, the earthly mother of Jesus Christ, instead of Jesus himself. He said even the current Pope Francis has also done same.
He said Catholics are not Christians and do not worship the same Christ that he preaches in his church, at least the one spoken about in the Bible.
Okotie said he did not write the Bible but it was clear to him that those in the Catholic church were lost and were heading to hell fire.
“They don’t believe in heaven. They believe in purgatory, the purgatory that they invented,” Okotie said.
“That church, the Catholic church has been there for Satan and at the right time, they will declare for Satan,”Okotie said.
Okotie who has been married twice and divorced also twice said a beauty pageant will take place in his church next Sunday to select the most beautiful woman in his church.
He also said his yearly “Grace programme” where he makes donations to charity organisations will also take place next Sunday.
The once rock star turned celebrity preacher and politician has been controversial for years.
He once said it was the devil who told him for the first time that he was going to be a preacher.
He also said Nigeria’s famous preacher Prophet T.B. Joshua is the son of the devil and his followers will go straight to hell.
In recent years, he has been saying that God has anointed him to be Nigeria’s president. That prophecy has not come to pass in two presidential elections that he participated in.
