Amaechi Knows That Jonathan Won't Allow Him To Join APC –Presidency

Following Governor Rotimi Amaechi's open declaration in Port Harcourt that he would consult with some top men, including President Goodluck Jonathan before joining the APC with others, the Presidency, said to be very angry at the meeting in the first place, has replied Governor Amaechi.

“Governor Amaechi did not consult the President before inviting APC leaders to Rivers State and giving them tumultuous welcome, so he does not need to consult the President before joining APC because he knows that the President will not allow any PDP member to go to APC. 

“Governor Amaechi is at liberty to join APC. This is belittling the issue. We are not small boys; we are in a serious business of politics."

Said Jonathan's political adviser, Ahmed Gulak, who couldn't hide the president's anger.
He stated this in an interview with Punch on Wednesday in Abuja. Gulak said the governor was trivialising the issue at stake as he deliberately engaged in what he called an anti-party activity.

The President’s aide said, "You cannot as a governor on the platform of PDP invite APC leaders to your state and make a show of it and now say that you will consult the President who is the leader of the PDP before you join APC."

A source told us that Jonathan actually met with four governors in Aso Rock on Wednesday over the issue and is very worried that he may loose Amaechi and other G-7 governors to APC.

APGA's Candidate In Anambra Governorship Election Caught In Multiple Registration

The issues militating against Governor Peter Obi's anointed candidate in the November 16 governorship pool in Anambra State is increasing by the day. Despite an insistence by Willie Obiano, the governorship candidate of APGA, that he did not engage in multiple registrations, damning evidence has now emerged that he did.

The proof that Mr. Obiano registered multiple times might put his candidature in serious trouble, a source at the electoral commission said. The revelations came after an Anambra State High Court had granted the candidate a weird injunction to shield him from criminal prosecution.

Evidence of Obiano double registration in Anambra State below:

Unimpeachable documents obtained by Sahara Reporters show that Mr. Obiano registered more than once, an act that violates the law. On August 21, 2013, he was issued a voter identification number (VIN) 90F5B12B88377091121. Then, at 10.25 a.m., on September 3, 2013, he was given another voter identification number 90F5B15E7D378200332. A third registration car has also emerged from Kosofe Local Government area in Lagos.

Except for the fact that the APGA candidate wore different clothes, all the information in the three registrations remained the same. In the cards, he was registered as “Obiano, Maduabuchi Willie.” His address in both documents was given as “No. 1 Chief Willie Obiano Street, Otuocha” just as his date of birth was recorded as August 8, 1955. His age on both cards was recorded as 56.

The watermarks on the cards clearly show the different voter identification numbers as well as different issuing dates and times, though the name of the candidate was unchanged.

“It is against the law to register more than once,” a source at INEC told SaharaReporters today. Section 12(2) of the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended) provides that “A person shall not register in more than one registration center or register more than once in the same registration center.” Section 12(3) then states that any person who contravenes the law would be liable “on conviction to a fine not exceeding N100,000 or imprisonment.”

The star will perform on the third day of the Zero G Colony festival which takes place at Spaceport America in New Mexico approximately six months after the first Virgin Galactic commercial flight, and has taken the necessary precautions to ensure she is protected against the worst possible outcome.
'Gaga has taken out a ridiculous life insurance policy,' said the source.
Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic programme launches next year and a list of stars including Ashton Kutcher and his girlfriend Mila Kunis, Justin Bieber and Leonardo DiCaprio have confirmed they have bought seats to fly to space for $250,000 each.

75-Yr-Old Man Commits Suicide After VIO Seized 2 Of His Buses

Residents of Oke-Ayepe, Onward Estate in Osogbo Local Government Area of Osun State were, yesterday, thrown into mourning when a 75-year-old grandfather, Pa Adisa Hassan, allegedly committed suicide in the storeroom of his house. The deceased popularly known as Baba Tawa, who operated three buses for his inter-city transport business was said to have hanged himself  around 5.00a.m. after officers of the Vehicle Inspection Officials (VIO) seized two of his three buses.

Eye-witness accounts revealed that Pa Hassan woke up alongside his family members around 5.00a.m. to observe their usual morning prayer (Subri) but changed his mind on his way to the mosque situated opposite his house and went into his store room and took his life.

When journalists visited the scene of the incident,  yesterday, family members and residents of the area were seen wailing even as some of his associates were discussing the mystery surrounding the tragedy.

Also, a team of officers from the Disaster and Emergency Management Unit of the Nigerian Security and

Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) was drafted to the scene to maintain order.

At press time, Hassan’s corpse was still dangling from the noose as no one was allowed to enter into the room.
