While, I don’t consider myself a person that should write a book, or give advice on relationships, what I will share is my personal perspective.

What helped me along the way was I had two personal friends of mine whose fiancés died. And I went through a personal struggle where my father got really sick, and I spent a week with him and it just dawned on me that we don’t have as much time as we think. And when you’re done playing games, and you find someone who has qualities that are much more practical as opposed to romanticized ideals, then you've got to hold on to them.

People think that you’re supposed to marry your type … well, I didn’t marry my type. It’s much more practical, and based in a day-to-day existence. So when you have that, and you’re happy, and you love her, don’t waste time. Because time — and I’ve learned that at this point in my life — time is my most precious commodity. Nothing is more precious than time. Because when it runs out … that’s it.

OMG!!!!! Kelly What Is This???

 Yesterday singer Kelly Rowland made a huge fashion statement with the daring attire(pictured above) which she wore  for the Houghton runway show at NY Fashion Week Thursday.

The R&B singer - who turns 33 next week - showcased her surgically-enhanced bust in the outfit which included a silk shirt with a decolletage, and glittery  palazzo pant suit.

Now as much as I'm of the view that fashion is personal style and not necessarily following trends, I honestly do not understand this outfit.

Looking At Me...A Poor Man Can't Marry Me - Chita Agwu

Chita Agwu is a fast rising Nollywood actress who just had an interview with Vanguard Newspaper where she spoke about her kind of man, her cars and how she moved from one apartment to another. Well the part I like most was when the reporter said, there was a report that she bought a brand new car after she had an accident at Ijebu ode, and Chita was quick to correct him that she has actually changed like two cars after the incident and not one like he thinks, lol. What will it take a man to date you?

There is nothing a man can give to me. I like someone who is honest and cute, because I don’t like ugly guys. If you also have the fear of God in you, even if you don’t have money, though I know money is important, I would consider. But, looking at me, there is no way God would not bless me with someone who has money. 

A report said that you bought a brand new car after that accident you had with your car in Ijebu Ode and that you have moved to a choice apartment?

I have changed like two cars after the accident I had and they are all brand new cars. As for the apartment; l had to move from my old apartment because it became too small for me. I only moved to a bigger apartment and not to a choice apartment!

You are very versatile when it comes to dressing, how come you dress the way you do?

I dress as the spirit leads. When I wake up in the morning, I just dress the way my mind tells me to. But generally, I am a tomboy as I love sneakers. My boyfriend buys them for me a lot.

What would you not be caught wearing?

You can never catch me tying wrapper on my chest. While growing up, my mum used to advise me a lot on that and she used to say tying wrapper on the chest will press one’s breasts down.

So did it work for you; I mean your mum’s advice on not tying wrapper over your chest?

I did and it actually worked for me! I am what l am today because l obeyed my mother’s instruction and took that advice she gave me. And l can say with confidence that when you tie wrapper over your chest as a woman; the tendency that your breasts would fall is very high. Many women can also testify to this also.

Rumoured Dead Actress, Angela Okorie Goes Tough On Fans Once Again

The actress who was rumoured to have died last week Sunday, after she was mistaken for another actress who bears the same surname with her who died during child birth in Rivers State has gone tough again on her fans. It will be recalled that, while Angela tried to debunk the rumour, she said she wished the people who wrote about her death.

In a short interview with E24-7 Magazine after all the drama, Angela was quoted again to have said a similar thing; ‘Since they like death so much, maybe they will witness it’, she said. Continue after the cut to read what she said in full.

 “I was so shocked because I was wondering what was going through people’s minds before they could write stuff like that. How can somebody go on to write such things about someone who’s living? Obviously, the guy who first reported the story was trying to sell his blog but he went about it the wrong way. It pained me that nobody took the time to confirm such a story before putting it out there in the public. On who she thinks is behind the rumour, she said, “I really don’t know! All I have to say is good luck to whoever it is. Since they like death so much, maybe they will witness it.”

Soldier Stab Boy to Death

A group of soldiers in the Central African Republic lynched a man they suspected was a rebel minutes after hearing the new president's promise to restore security at a ceremony to reinstate the divided country's armed forces.

About 20 uniformed soldiers accused a member of the crowd of having belonged to Seleka - the mostly Muslim rebel group that seized power in a coup last March, before stabbing him repeatedly until he was dead.

A soldier stamped on the lifeless body, which was then dragged nearly naked through the streets as residents looked on and took photographs. Continue...

Ten minutes earlier the new interim president, Catherine Samba-Panza, stood just 20m away where she addressed a crowd of at least 1,000 soldiers.

The Army effectively disappeared during nine months of Seleka rule.She told the gathering at a training ground in the capital Bangui: 'Within a month, I would like to fully secure the greater part of the country and I aim to stick to my word.'

Seleka disbanded after Samba-Panza's inauguration last month and is deeply resented by the Christian majority after months of lootings and killings.

Peter Bouckaert, emergencies director at Human Rights Watch in Bangui, tweeted that the corpse of the lynched man had been burned. 

He posted a photograph showing a man holding up a severed limb next to a bonfire, as an armed French soldier gestured in the background.

14 Year Old Boy Locked Up In Iyaganku Prison In Ibadan

I got this mail from a RIB reader who claims he was recently locked up at a police station called Iyaganku Police Station in Ibadan. While there, he says he saw two boys less than 16 years old who have been locked up there for a few years. I decided to share his mail here just in case. See it below...

Hello Rhodwell, I am writing you regarding something I saw some days back in Iyaganku Police Station Ibadan. I was detained by some Policemen of Iyaganku in Ibadan, after which I was put in the cell because I wont co-operate with them. Surprisingly, a boy of about 13-14yrs old came out of one of the cells, I wasn't sure of what I saw because its awkward to find someone so young in a cell, I believe for whatever crime he must have commited, he shouldn't be locked up in a cell, so when I got into my own cell, where I met about 6 other people in the cell, I told them what I saw and to my surprised they weren't shocked, they told me, its no news that the boy is called "State" and he's been locked in that same Iyaganku Cell for over 5yrs, with my calculation, the boy is 14yrs old now, that means he's been locked up since he's 9, when I asked for his crime, I was told he is locked up there because he pushed someone into a well and the person died. My Point is this, yeah, the boy committed a crime, but at 9, and this crime is not even something that he must have done intentionally, even if he did intentionally, that is no reason why he should be locked up in a cell for 24hrs let alone 5yrs. My reason for writing you is because I cant bring the boy out of the cell, but I know the media can, that is why I am writing you if there is any human Right Activist you can talk to about this, or if there is something you can do to get the boy his freedom. 

I also want you to know that the boy I saw is not even the person who has been locked up for 5yrs, he's just another minor locked up in Iyaganku Police Station, that means they had 2 boys of less than 16yrs old locked up in Iyaganku police station as of Wednesday 05-02-2014

Please and Please. I left Iyaganku that same day but I couldn't sleep well because I know what I saw is not right and I shouldn't just be silent about it. 

 

I would speak to as many people as possible of which you are the fourth person I am writing to about it. I am hoping something would happen soon.
