Okay! The city of Port-Harcourt popularly referred to as the Garden city
of Nigeria is no doubt a bubbling hub when it comes to good gospel
music. Blessed with great gifts and talents, promoting the kingdom of
God, the city has hosted a lot musical events,both local &
international artistes.
Today, we present to you ten vibrant PH Gospel artistes you should put
your eyes on this new year. We've had several chats with them and we
totally believe that sooner or later you will begin to hear from them.
There are others who will stroll the year with what they are up to as we
progress but we need you watch out for these guys. They are arranged in
no particular order.
Let's go there...
1. AFRIKAN J
She is dubbed "the joy of Africa", a beautiful & amazing vocal
sister. African J has so many albums and musical videos to her credit
already. She is a worshiper, Mother, Wife, Journalist and very devoted
child of God. Her singles "Seki Oboma" & " All about you" released
few weeks ago are already enjoying massive attention from fans all over.
She is set for some big projects this year. Keep your eyes on her.
2. SAMUEL DIXON
Samuel
Dixon is a Port Harcourt based gospel singer that has awed music lovers
with his efforts. He is one of the most visible gospel artistes
currently making the gospel alive in the south south. Sammy as he is
popularly called debuted 2 powerful singles "God No Dey Camouflage"
& "Amanam" last year. These singles featured on topnotch music blogs
all over the nation and was also premiered on Praiseworld radio. News
has it that the multi-talented young minister will likely drop his album
this year. The album which is titled "Graceful" is definitely going to
be a big one. Samuel Dixon will also kick off his campus tour this year.
You've got to fix your eyes on this brother.
3. NAJITE EL-DAVID
The delectable, elegant, beautiful & gifted female vocalist, Najite El-David made headlines with her appearance at the Nigerian Idols in 2012 and was recorded as one of the best finalists.
Then she went her ahead to officially launch her gospel music career by
dropping two powerful singles that premiered on prestigious online media
platforms nationwide recording over a 1500+ downloads in the first week
of release last year. Since then, this anointed songbird has been on fire for the
Lord. Najite says
"She ended 2013 better than she started & that she Thank God for his grace".
She has attended so many functions (musical concerts, festivals,
corporate events) within & outside her base blessing lives with her
very stunning, energetic & wonderful crew. You will be amazed by the projects she is set to embark on this new year. Watch out for her.
4. BEE K
Bee K (Kenneth Edeke) is a gifted & impressive vocalist who is not
just a singer but a deep worshiper and lover of God. The fine gentleman
dropped his single 'Heart of a Believer" last year before he hosted the
entire Port-Harcourt city to a live musical concert tagged "Bee-K Live".
The event which has remained a talk of the town was regarded as one of
the best gospel events for 2013 in the city. As a way of ending the
year, he released his Christmas single "Holy Night Cover" which had over
500 downloads within few hours of release. The young talented dude is
already on the move as he officially opened the year last week with his
latest single "Happy Generation". More is set to come from Bee-K, so you
better be on the look..
5. IYKE (THE COMBOPHONIST)
He is a very dynamic & talented minister of God with a very rare
musical gift. The gospel artiste who hosted fans & friends to a
birthday concert last year spent most of the last year blessing lives
with his singing through out Africa. He has recorded a couple of singles
after his last musical project which hopes to hit various gospel sites
soon. He is also finalizing arrangement to drop his new album this same
year. He is just another man you should look our for very closely.
6. CHIBEE DANIELS
Chibueze Daniels, born 9th February some years ago & started singing at
the age of 15. He is currently a very dedicated & committed psalmist
at Church of God Mission Int'l (The Rest Place), a place regarded as a
hub for great kingdom gifts in the city of Port Harcourt.
He is a versatile music performer per excellence though he majors in
R&B, he still remains a very round music personality. Chibee Daniels
dropped a powerful hit "When Praises Go Up" and he is set to drop his
first music album in March titled "The Gifted". The event we hear will
be christened "Chibee Daniels Live" and of course the talk of this event
has been on the social media since the beginning of the year. Look
closely.
7. CHINEDU UGWUADU
This fine gentleman garnered some prominence after his appearance at the
last Nigerian Idols where he made some tremendous impact as one of the
best contestants. Since then, he has been waxing strong ministering live
in several events in the city. Speaking with him recently, the very
versatile & thrilling singer hinted us of his official singles to be
released some time in April in an open but topnotch live concert like
you have never seen before.
We see his moves and we implore you to keep eyes on this brother because he has so much goodies to dish out to us.
8. BIG JEFF
BIG JEFF is one of Port-Harcourt's finest gospeller whose
creativity, diligence and consistency has placed him in the frontline of
Gospel music in his base and environs.
His passion for true worship led him to establish the crew "
Worship Adrenalin" which
is also a platform for training and establishing young worshippers.
Worship Adrenalin has hosted profound worship ministrels in 2 worship
events so far in the city of Port-Harcourt. The minstrel who dropped 2
singles last year also had the 3rd edition of Wonders of Worship in the
same year. His new album is undergoing finishing touch and will likely
drop before the first half of the year.
9. DAVIDIC
From his base, he has been able by the hand of God upon his life to reach out to many through his music ministry. His name is
David Emeka Onwuka stage named
Davidic. He is an International gospel recording artiste, songwriter & evangelist.
Davidic who hails from Imo State attended Ogbe Secondary school, Warri,
Delta state, He is a graduate of Theology from Ahmadu Bello University
in Zaria. He works with his well fed music crew known as "De Davidic
Worship Crew". He is also a committed member of the popular Winners'
Chapel in the city of Port-Harcourt. Davidic will premiere some of his
songs and his videos in this new year following other projects he's
cooking.
10. CHARLES PATRICK (C-PATT)
Born, brought up and currently based in the city of Port
Harcourt-Nigeria, C-PATT also known as Tha' Fatsoul MC (PROV 13:4) is a
Gospel & Motivational Rap Music Minister (EPH 3:7) with a divine
mandate to "Uplift the souls of men & promote the Gospel of Christ
through music" (II COR 4:3-5).
His music is refined, purposeful & divine. It is soul lifting,
motivating, inspiring and educating with deft & Word-based lyrics,
good melodies, creative approach, smooth voice delivery and quality
sound productions which has become a stunner and a blessing across the
country and beyond. His single "My Faith" which featured Wisdom K
dropped last year is still gaining massive appeal. He is also set to
drop his first official music album this year plus other projects you
should watch out for.
